Food and Drink in Downtown Davenport:

Tiphanie’s

Tiphanie’s wins the award for cutest atmosphere by far. The space is filled with cute signs, swings as seats, and a fun bar. It’s the perfect spot to meet your girlfriend for brunch or a cocktail, although the guys will love the delicious food as well!

The bakery and restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a cocktail menu full of drinks with creative names. The food menu here isn’t huge, but the salads, sandwiches, and soups are all delicious and the perfect choice before heading out for a little shopping or a walk along the riverfront.

Prepare to be amazed by the festive décor if you visit during the holiday season. They had some of the best holiday displays I’ve ever seen.

Me & Billy

200 W 3rd St, Davenport, IA 52801

Me & Billy Kitchen and Bar is a top spot for food and drink in downtown Davenport. The restaurant is spacious and clean, featuring a large menu with an assortment of options. It’s a great spot whether you are dining by yourself, on a date, or celebrating with a large group.

Enjoy a fresh salad, tasty sandwich or hearty burger with delicious sides such as mac & cheese or house fries. The restaurant also offers a sprawling drink menu with everything from seasonal cocktails and draft beers to wine and classic cocktails.

Daiquiri Factory

303 W 3rd St, Davenport, IA 52801

If you’re in the mood for a fun atmosphere, shareable food with friends, and flavorful drinks, head to Daiquiri Factory. The space is open with tables spread throughout and a large bar and features over 10 flavors of daiquiris.

I’m not usually a daiquiri drinker so I wasn’t sure what to expect or if I’d enjoy them. I opted for the sampler which included 1-ounce samples of all of their flavors for $8 (12 total samples). I loved this option and would definitely get it again on another visit. It was the perfect amount to try and I enjoyed almost all of the flavors.

If you’re feeling really adventurous, you can order a full-size daiquiri with a blend of two flavors. The bartenders can provide suggestions if you aren’t sure what will mix best.

I also ordered a little snack of pretzel bites and fries, and both were very tasty. Along with shareable snacks, Daiquiri Factory also offers flatbreads, burgers, and street tacos

Analog Arcade Bar

302 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52801

Likely the most fun spot for a drink in Davenport is Analog Arcade Bar. This is the perfect spot for a throwback date night or a fun night out with a group of friends.

Grab a drink and game tokens at the bar before enjoying numerous games, such as Skeeball, pinball, Pacman, Tetris, and many other classic arcade games. Additionally, you can play games like MarioKart on Nintendo64 for no charge.

Sam and I played MarioKart for the first time together. Unfortunately, I did not win a single race. We will be going back for a rematch.

Ladies, make sure you take a trip to the bathroom. Sam assured me the men’s restroom was nowhere near as exciting.

Sky Bar

215 N Main St, Davenport, IA 52801 (Top Floor of The Current Hotel)

Located on the top floor of The Current Iowa (read my full review on The Current Iowa), the Sky Bar is a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and to grab a light bite to eat.

The indoor area is open and airy, while also featuring a large outdoor seating deck. The outdoor area is open during the warmer months and provides gorgeous views of the Mississippi River and surrounding area. Even if you are unable to sit outside due to the weather, you can still step outside to take in the view and a quick photo.

While the bar is located in a hotel, I found the prices to be reasonable, and Marriott Bonvoy Members/Card Holders will earn bonus points.

The Garrison and Garrison Speakeasy

131 W 2nd St, Davenport, IA 52801

New to Davenport as of October 2023 is The Garrison Steakhouse and Speakeasy. While I did not eat at the restaurant, I did walk in and check it out and the reviews are very good. However, I did enjoy a drink at The Speakeasy. It’s a very nice spot and is well worth a visit. The password for the month can be found on their website and on their Instagram page.

If you’re eating at The Garrison, your server can direct you to the speakeasy after your meal, otherwise feel free to stop by the hostess stand and ask for directions.

The space offers several different seating options, including tables and chairs, comfy cushion chairs, and bar stools. I sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders while enjoying my usual – a glass of pinot grigio.

Front Street Pub & Grill

208 E River Dr, Davenport, IA 52801

One of the most well-known places to grab a bite in downtown Davenport is Front Street Brewery. This local brewery offers delicious pub food along with their handcrafted beer selection.

Front Street Pub & Grill is located across the street from the riverfront and features a large bar and plenty of tables and booths. The restaurant also has a large upstairs featuring an outdoor area with a bar and plenty of seating options. Expect pub fare like sandwiches, salads, and burgers, along with in-house brewed beers.

The tap house is located just down the street and is the spot to go for a brewery tour and tasting.

Mac’s Tavern

316 W 3rd St, Davenport, IA 52801

Serving delicious food and drink to the Quad Cities for over 80 years, Mac’s Tavern is a favorite for food and drink in downtown Davenport among locals and visitors. The pub serves Irish and American fare and features a curved bar so that all patrons can converse with one another.

Along with a large bar, the pub has several tables for dining and an outdoor patio that is open in the warmer months. Mac’s Tavern is open seven days a week.

And if you’re ever in the area on March 17th, Mac’s prides itself on hosting the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in the Quad Cities.

Enjoy!

The food and drink in downtown Davenport is plentiful and makes it more than worth a trip to this Quad City. The atmosphere is fun, and there are so many locally-owned shops to check out in-between bites. Which spot will you check out first?
